Introduction
An award-winning photographer with a background in Journalism and Fine Art, Ken Halfmann has been an active member of PhotoMidwest (formerly the Center for Photography at Madison) since it began in 1998. He has displayed his work widely, including an exhibit at Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton’s office in 2004. He was Artist in Residence for the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan in 2007 where he presented a workshop on landscape photography. In 2011 Ken produced a photo book titled Show Me A Sign documenting the Act 10 protests in Madison. Prints of Kens work are on permanent display at fourteen branches of the U.W. Credit Union.
