Background Info
Laurice Snyder (she/hers) is the owner and Human-Centered Leadership Consultant for Rooted Wings LLC. She has been passionate about leading capacity building efforts that transform environments in to places where every individual has a sense of belonging for who they are and not marginalized for who they are not. Laurice’s personal journey fighting for basic survival through poverty, hunger, homelessness due to domestic violence and the quandary of racial identity led to her committing her entire career towards creating better outcomes for the current and next generations.

Professionally she has held several administrative leadership positions both in K-12 and higher education institutions including District Coordinator for Equity, Diversity Relations Manager, Compliance Officer, and Title IX Coordinator. Dedicated to being a catalyst for positive change in the community, Laurice proudly co-founded The Humanity Project: Telling the untold story which is the first-ever community conversation in Fond du Lac, WI focused on exposing the histories of people of color in the United States as well as Courageous Conversations at the Dinner Table with Law Enforcement with the Fond du Lac Police Department.

Personally she is married and the mom to three spirited children.

Laurice holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and Spanish, with an emphasis in social work from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Masters Degree in Cultural Foundations in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Additionally, she is a NIUSI-Leadscape Certified Culturally Responsive Cognitive Coach, Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®), a Cultural Intelligence (CQ) facilitator and also completed the Equity Alliance Leadership for Equity Certification through Arizona State University. She also serves on several community leadership boards including the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girls on the Run, Back to School FDL, and the Police and Fire Commission.
