The Importance of Video Production for Business

Video production is rapidly becoming an essential aspect of promoting businesses and organizations. Many companies avoid making videos because it can be time consuming, expensive and frustrating. But does it have to be? You’ll learn why business video production is important, when it is beneficial to rely on outside professional video production and how it often makes more sense to create videos yourself. You’ll get valuable tools to make your videos look their best, stand out from your competition and be more cost effective.

Program Speaker: Judy Whalen

Judy Whalen is the founder and CEO of the Center for Strategic Change. The Center for Strategic Change works with businesses, nonprofits and entrepreneurs that want to embrace strategic change to help them be more innovative, effective and competitive. Judy and her colleagues specialize in the areas of strategy development, market research and communications. Clients include manufacturing companies, national and international associations and foundations, health care entities, K-12 and higher education institutions, chambers of commerce and state and local government agencies. The typical client includes the board of directors, CEO and senior leadership team. Projects typically include facilitation of strategic thinking sessions, assessment of the marketplace, and development of implementation strategies, executive coaching, staff development or board development. She has guided five merger projects involving 13 organizations.
 
Prior to launching the Center for Strategic Change, Judy spent years as an association executive director and lobbyist for state and national associations. She has a bachelor’s degree from UW – Whitewater, completed the six-year Institute for Organization Management at Notre Dame sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce and has graduate credits in public policy and education from UW- Madison.





Program Speaker: Dan Poh


Dan Poh is the owner of Tapioca Creations, video production for business. He has over 25 years professional experience in broadcast, commercial, corporate and web video production. He creates high-end videos for clients of all sizes; from small, local companies to huge multinational corporations. Some of his clients have included Harley-Davidson, Manpower, Foster Grant, Northwestern Mutual, and Voya Financial. A lifelong resident of the Madison area, Dan started his company to bring high-end video production to an affordable level for all businesses.
