Presented by:

As consultants we know we have to work hard. Getting clients, solving problems, running a business all takes hard work. Working hard is an essential key to success. However, it is just as important to work smart.
Just because you are consulting independently doesn’t mean you are alone. Your membership in MABC brings you into contact with some awesome colleagues that can share what they know to help you be better.
Join us at this meeting:
Share your idea/tool/tip/solution that really has helped you as a consultant
Brainstorm ways that you can work smarter
Get your tip ready for the book
WHAT BOOK....MABC is publishing its own Tips and Tricks to Working Smarter. This program will help get your tip in order so that by October 15th yours will be ready for publication. For more information contact maryhelenconroy@gmail.com.
Hope to see you there!

Madison Area Business Consultants | September Member of the Month
Nick Cray | Operations Excellence, LLC
Target client: Owners and senior level managers of small to midsized manufacturing companies in the Madison & Milwaukee regions, who are confronted with operational challenges.
MABC member since 2008; I initially became aware of MABC, when invited by Sam Keller, to be his guest. I had recently left a full-time position as VP of Operations and wanted to start a consulting practice focused on small to midsized manufacturers.
Many smaller companies have big-company operational challenges but lack the organized approach or available & trained resources needed to identify and implement much needed improvements. I regularly draw upon my 30+ years of varied industry experiences, professional development, and my mechanical engineering & MBA education to develop targeted solutions.
I have identified a few benefits of MABC membership:
- a friendly, collaborative, non-judgmental collection of solopreneurs who are always interested and available to provide assistance and/or feedback.
- a group of 'accountability partners', when you need them
- a professionally managed website useful for soliciting clients
- a provider of professional development opportunities
- reasonable membership costs & fees
- excellent networkers
You can learn more about Nick on his LinkedIn profile.
