Playing Offense and Defense with Intellectual Property

Join us in April for an information-filled presentation on intellectual property. We'll get a brief introduction to the concepts of intellectual property (patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret,) so that we're all working from the same playbook. Then we'll dive deeper into the importance of these valuable business assets and how we can both protect our own property (offensive use) and avoid infringing 3rd party property (defensive use).

About the presenter:

Jennifer L. Amundsen has been practicing law in Madison since graduating from University of Wisconsin Law School in 2003, although she has been working in intellectual property for more than 25 years. She currently provides flat-fee and subscription legal services primarily in the areas of intellectual property, information technology, privacy/data protection, and contracts. As preservation breeders of Clumber Spaniels, she and her husband enjoy training and showing their dogs.
